when sisters play with matches

Taylor Jacob Pate

like a

bottle rocket sputtering limp
                      & grizzled sparks!

how absurd those lederhosen!
how absurd & red & sticky

on the front of the top of the
inside of my skull!     & I hid my

criminal in fits beneath, my ribs
& lung, to loosen up the leather

how absurd & shinny & stuck to the
inside of my skull! all osculatory,
all lucent                   & I hid

my face feels very porous today!
all

criminal & rhinestones, osmoticaly
thefting my voice out of leather

how absurd those lederhosen!
how absurd & burlesque & spilled

in fits on the top of the front of the
inside of my skull
                     like tiny pink milk
