A decade of decay descends into
wild thoughts about love
a gruesome force that controls us
stopping us from growth
i lay on the freshly cut lawn
and take in the smell,
the simple pleasure
of freshly cut grass
rotten roses begin to stale
on february 15th
it makes me believe
that someday
love might leave us
and for some of us
this has already happened
